Long time followers know that I began again on this journey because of a weight loss challenge on Matt McNutt’s website. His challenges usually run for the duration of a season of The Biggest Loser. Well, the new season doesn’t start until the fall and well…some of us McNutt Challengers have really liked the accountability and encouragement we got from his challenges. It helps to know we are not alone.
So I have decided, after two weeks of gains, that enough is enough. A challenge will be started here on my blog for anyone that is interested in accountability and encouragement and a prize that EVERYONE wins. Pounds lost and health gained!
I am not an expert. I am not a professional. Enter this at your own risk and hopefully you have consulted your doctor before embarking on this journey. I am however, on this journey WITH you. I have my story to share and you have yours as well.
So, here is how it will work. We will begin on June 1st and go through August 31st. Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and let me know you want to participate. When you email me, email me your starting weight. Since there are no official prizes, I am not worried about needing a photo and all that as Matt has done. This is for you. It only helps YOU to be honest.
Email me again each week, on Tuesdays, your previous weeks weight and current weight. I will figure out the percentage lost each week and post results on Wednesday’s.
In addition, periodically throughout the challenge, I will post an extra challenge. Some will be exercise related and some will be nutrition related. Others may be challenges that are just good for the soul that we don’t do often enough! Hopefully this will add some spice! If I am going to do this I will post those challenges when I post results!
I encourage comments strongly as that is what will encourage others as they read about what YOU are struggling with or succeeding at! Let’s have fun!
