Between Season’s Summer Challenge-Updated!

Let’s get this party started and lose that which holds us back!!

Hey Folks,

Long time followers know that I began again on this journey because of a weight loss challenge on Matt McNutt’s website.  His challenges usually run for the duration of a season of The Biggest Loser.  Well, the new season doesn’t start until the fall and well…some of us McNutt Challengers have really liked the accountability and encouragement we got from his challenges. It helps to know we are not alone.

So I have decided, after two weeks of gains, that enough is enough.  A challenge will be started here on my blog for anyone that is interested in accountability and encouragement and  a prize that EVERYONE wins.  Pounds lost and health gained!

I am not an expert.  I am not a professional. Enter this at your own risk and hopefully you have consulted your doctor before embarking on this journey. I am however, on this journey WITH you.  I have my story to share and you have yours as well.

So, here is how it will work.  We will begin on June 1st and go through August 31st.  Email me at r2bchallenge@gmail.com and let me know you want to participate.  When you email me, email me your starting weight.  Since there are no official prizes, I am not worried about needing a photo and all that as Matt has done.  This is for you.  It only helps YOU to be honest.

Email me again each week, on Tuesdays, your previous weeks weight and current weight.  I will figure out the percentage lost each week and post results on Wednesday’s.

In addition, periodically throughout the challenge, I will post an extra challenge.  Some will be exercise related and some will be nutrition related.  Others may be challenges that are just good for the soul that we don’t do often enough!  Hopefully this will add some spice!  If I am going to do this I will post those challenges when I post results!

I encourage comments strongly as that is what will encourage others as they read about what YOU are struggling with or succeeding at!  Let’s have fun!

So to recap:

1. The challenge begins June 1st.

2. Send your current starting weights to me by then to r2bchallenge@gmail.com

3. The challenge will run from June 1-August 31st.

I think I covered everything!  If you have questions…email me or post a comment!  Oh if you WANT to send a photo of yourself, I won’t object.  If you read my previous posts, you will find I like to know who I am talking to and pictures help! 🙂  But that is not required of course!

  1. Of course I’m in! I’m doing very well with eating right now, but need more accountability with exercise. Will send through the starting weight on Monday.

  2. Kim, I am definitely in. I am so glad you are doing this. It will help us all stay accountable. Starting June 2nd I am off for the entire summer. So, I have no excuses for not having the time to jump start my weight loss and eating better.And I do think that each person should take a picture of themselves. That way they have a before and after picture. I will email you monday with my weight and picture. Again thanks for doing this. You Rock!!!

  3. I thought I was the first responder via e-mail 🙂 I guess I am always a loser 😦 Just kidding. It’s nice being a loser, especially in the weight aspect of it all.
    Sounds like we have a lot of takers. This is going to be so much fun Kim. Make sure you remind me to send in my starting weight.

    • Hey Samantha!! Welcome!! Everything you need to know is in teh post…jsut email me your starting weight on Monday then send me your new weights every week on Tuesdays…who sent you this way? I am curious!!

  6. You know…nothing’s official until it’s on a spreadsheet! 😉 You know my love for spreadsheets. I already have one that does the % calculations…but I haven’t been using it lately.

    Life is crazy…and getting crazier!

    I don’t think that I’ll be giving anyone a run for their money in this challenge — but accountability is a good thing. 🙂
